As the former managing partner of two successful local family restaurants in business for 30 years, Allegro Bistro, and Valenti’s, Gianni is no stranger to running a successful business. He enjoys helping business owners in the biggest stages of life—whether it’s education planning, marriage, parenthood, or retirement planning. Gianni’s business experience and education, in combination with his financial expertise, enable him to give his clients targeted guidance to help them pursue their financial goals and a confident financial future.
Both Gianni’s parents immigrated to Southwest Florida from Sicily in the 1970s, and they raised him with a strong work ethic that’s always stayed with him. Gianni learned the value of family, proper planning, correct maintenance of that plan, and what not having a plan can do to a family business.
“Because I was so instilled in the community through the family restaurant businesses, I saw what happened to people who didn’t have a plan in place for retirement, and couples who divorced,” he said. “Seeing these people struggle made me want to pursue a career in wealth management planning.”
While most kids were watching TV or playing baseball, Gianni grew up working. He was building a strong core of business sense and interpersonal experience.
“Working in the restaurant industry, and later as the managing partner of multiple family restaurants—all day, you learn how to communicate, solve problems, and think on your feet,” Gianni said.
Gianni graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson College of Business, and minored in business law and family business management. He uses his education and skills in his work every day.
Working as an independent advisor, rather than for a big firm, Gianni enjoys spending more time with his clients and offering fully tailored service.
“My approach is easy-going and low pressure. My team and I all work together to build customizable portfolios for our clients’ specific needs,” he said. “Not only are you getting me as an advisor, but you’re getting an entire team.”
Part of what Gianni does includes providing 24-hour service for clients during emergency life events. His team of advisors helps clients pursue financial independence, no matter what arises.
When it comes to financial planning and wealth management, Gianni follows the values of family, work ethic, financial stability, and a strong educational background in helping his clients.
Because he’s licensed in many areas, he’s better able to meet the needs of his clients. Gianni holds these financial licenses through LPL Financial:
- Series 7
- Series 66
- Life, health, and variable annuities 215
With so many people moving in the Venice and Sarasota area, it’s important to have an experienced financial advisor you can trust. Knowing you’re working with someone who’s rooted in the community and knows the ins and outs of business is vital.
Gianni places a priority on getting to know his clients, and that’s one of his favorite things about what he does.
“We really want to know every detail about our clients, their kids’ names, and even their dog’s birthday,” he said. “We keep our clients tight-knit, like family, and we make sure they’re taken care of.”
Gianni is the father of two children and his wife is also a local business owner. They love living in the Sarasota area and being involved in the community.
